When I started Fishing With Oh Dad You Tube channel and then this website, I thought of many things I wanted to do and accomplish. One is to fish as many places as I can; fulfilling some bucket list things such as doing some beach fishing, catching a tarpon, fishing in the Sea of Galilee (where my Savior was), and one other that shall not be mentioned at this moment. Second is intertwined with the first. And that is to be able to tell as many people as the Lord gives me contact with, about the love of Jesus. I pray that the Lord will allow me to accomplish these things. I certainly would covet your prayers.

Going through some old digital photos and came across these. Don’t know where we (Ty & I) were but I am sure we caught some fish and had a lot of fun. That seems to be the formula whenever I get together with my boys. Great memories!!

Our grand kids went fishing with their daddy yesterday on the Tennessee River, so I thought I would share their big catch. A beautiful big flathead catfish. Awesome! Way to go!!

Like a lot of fishermen whenever I am driving and I see a body of water, my first thought is: “Is there any fish in it?” Usually, my second though is: “I don’t have a rod with me.” Well, the other day I came across this collapsible cat rod on Facebook the other day. Check it out. It may solve the problem of trying to transport a large rod in a small car or a small pickup. I am not endorsing this product or even recommending it. Just thought I would share it because it seemed like a good idea. Check it out in the above link.

Went to the new fishing spot but I could have caught the same amount out of my bathtub. That’s fishing for you. Was nice to try a new place and I will be returning. Going to try and get there next week when the temperatures are supposed to drop by about 10-12 degrees and a possibility of the rains moving in. Fishermen never give up!!

Well, the algae was gone but so were the fish! Not really. The weeds were so thick that trying fish the lake was nearly impossible. I did manage to catch one and get a few other bites, but that was all. Lord willing, a short video will be coming out soon. The skunk was off, but only for a short while.

I want to thank a few people in this post. First, my youngest son Tell, who is a software engineer, made this website possible. He did all the background work so I could get this website up and running. Without his expertise and knowledge, I would be lost. Also, he did many things to make my logo and my business cards become a reality. And I know he will be there when I am ready for my line of merchandise. So, thank you Tell!! Second, I want to thank my oldest son, Ty. He was the one who originally encouraged me to start a YouTube channel in the first place. He was the one who gave me a GoPro to start doing videos. He also helped me figure out how to use and upload videos to YouTube. So, thank you Ty!! Thirdly, I want to thank my wife Dianne and my daughter Echo for encouraging me along the way and for allowing me the opportunity to fish often. So, thank you my dear wife and Echo. Fourthly, I want to thank all of my friends and loyal subscribers to my channel. Without your encouragement and support my channel would cease to exist. So, thank you everyone. Fifthly (this actually should be first), I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For without his favor and mercy I would be nothing. So, thank you Jesus for being so good to me!!
